HOME OF THE WOLVES
INVITATIONAL MATH BOWL- A group of 16 middle and high school students went to IST last Thursday afternoon to compete in several Math competitions along with 10 other schools. The work our students have put throughout this school year paid off as our students did exceptionally well in the event finishing in fourth place. Thanks to Ms. Regina Ochoa, Ms. Ashley Lardizabal, and Mr. Cesar Martinez for making this happen.
END OF QUARTER 3 - Thursday, March 14
REGIONAL SPELLING BEE - 12 students will be representing the school in the Regional Spelling Bee hosted the International School of Tegucigalpa. The event will take place on Saturday, March 16. Mr. Pappas and Mr. Ketterer will be acting as judges during the event. Good luck to our spellers!
AASCA SPORTSMANSHIP FESTIVAL - 11 middle school students will travel to the Panamerican School in Costa Rica to participate in the festival in March 20 - 24. Our students will participate in basketball, volleyball, track & field, cross country, and soccer. Sportsmanship is an aspiration or ethos that a sport or activity will be enjoyed for its own sake, with proper consideration for fairness, ethics, respect, and a sense of fellowship with one's competitors. The school group will travel with Ms. Yery Villeda, Mr. Alvin Cacho, and Mr. Steven Cacho.
ABSH MODEL UNITED NATIONS - 13 secondary students will travel to La Ceiba from March 28 - 31 in order to participate in the Model United Nations competition. The competition will be hosted by Mazapan School. We wish our delegates the best of luck. Thank you Mr. Stewart and Mr. Duryea for coaching our delegates.
ABSH MATH OLYMPICS AND MATH BOWL - 13 secondary students will participate in:
- Basic Math, Pre Algebra, Algebra 1, and Geometry exams.
- Cartesian and Euclidean categories
The math competitions will be hosted by Palmeras Bilingual School in La Ceiba in April 5 - 6. We wish our mathletes the best. The group will travel with their coaches Ms. Ashley Lardizabal and Mr. Cesar Martinez.
ABSH VOLLEYBALL - for the first time, the school will participate with a girls team in the pre-juvenile category. The event will be hosted by the Escuela Internacional Sampedrana on April 24 - 27. We wish our 11 girls the best. The group will travel with Ms. Yery and their coach.
